Early Life and Career

Candace Helaine Cameron Bure was born on April 6, 1976. She is the daughter of Barbara (nee Bausmith) and Robert Cameron, a high school football coach. Cameron Bure grew up in Panorama City, California, and attended Notre Dame High School in Sherman Oaks, California. Cameron Bure began her acting career at age five, when she appeared in a commercial for Pepsi-Cola. She went on to star in several made-for-television films and series, including "Born Innocent" (1989), "No One Would Tell" (1996), and "Cybill" (1995-1998).

Breakthrough Role

In 1987, Cameron Bure was cast as Donna Jo "DJ" Tanner in the ABC sitcom "Full House". The show was a huge success, and Cameron Bure quickly became a household name. She played the role of DJ for eight seasons, until the show ended in 1995. After "Full House" ended, Cameron Bure continued to act in television films and series, including "See You in the Morning" (2004), "The Heart of Christmas" (2007), and "Switched at Birth" (2011-2017).
