Bud Hedinger Says So Long to Radio
Longtime Central Florida Radio Host And TV Anchor Hangs Up His Headphones
After more than two decades of entertaining and informing Central Florida residents, Bud Hedinger has signed off for the last time.
A Fixture in Central Florida Broadcasting
Hedinger was a familiar voice and face to many in the Orlando area. He spent more than 20 years at WFLA Orlando, where he hosted a popular morning radio show and anchored the station's evening newscasts. Prior to that, he worked as a reporter and anchor at WESH 2 in Daytona Beach.
Hedinger's departure marks the end of an era in Central Florida broadcasting. He was one of the last remaining on-air personalities from the golden age of local radio and television.
In a statement, Hedinger said that he was stepping down to spend more time with his family and pursue other interests. He thanked his listeners and viewers for their support over the years.
